It was a long time coming for the completion of the castle for Eagle Castle Winery but it was worth the wait. What an amazing storybook place that was built as a winery and wonderful event center for the Paso Robles area that will have people begging to book many of their functions at this venue. There were lots of chamber members and some new faces I hadn’t recognized, but for an event like this I wouldn’t have expected any less. The wine was flowing and chilly and fritos that was made at The Culinary Arts  hit the spot. It was good on this evening that just earlier had finished off with a small rainstorm and the evening presented itself to be so beautiful.
I handed our Chamber CEO Mike Gibson the mic so he could start the festivities by introducing our hosts from Eagle Castle Winery Gary and Mary Lou Stemper. Gary talked about how long it had been putting this project together and how happy he was now that it was complete and he was ready to party. He also said they would be doing wedding’s parties and hosting other events all year long. He talked about their upcoming events for Harvest Weekend and they were going to have a Casablanca (Movie) Night on Friday October 19th and see and tour the castle on Saturday with free wine tastings that day. On Sunday a brunch to finish off the weekend and send people home wanting more.
Mike also recognized Joey Scolari for his new supermarket and gave the store the beautification of the month award. What a difference that building makes in that spot where Lucky’s used to stand.
Don Campbell came up to make presentations from the Ag Tour. He handed out donations for efforts in the community, like all the coffee and snacks from the Pioneer Museum for those waiting for the busses going on the AG tour.
The Ag Tour also gave SLO County Ag Task Force a check for ($1000.00)  and Ag in the classroom a check for ($5000.00) to help children realize our food doesn’t just come from Scolari’s Supermarket.
Cheryl Carnevali Programs & Events Coordinator told everyone about the Successful business seminar at the Paso Robles Ballroom at The Paso Robles Inn
on October 15th and The Woman In Business networking fair on October 17th at the new La Bellaserra hotel and suites.
Well if you missed this one you really won’t want to miss the November Mixer at Bianchi Winery 3380 Branch Road Paso Robles, CA 93446 I’ll see you there
